Social and economic empowerment program of us ambassador funds for gheera community of Hyderabad
Hamdam foundation recently completed a unique project at the slum area of Hyderabad with the help of USAID. The project is unique because of its nature. The people of GheeraBasti (Community) belonged to downtrodden society and deprived of basic facilities of life. Historically the male do the work of “Pheri”, moving in streets with new utensils to exchange them with old cloths. They kept the basket of utensils on their head or shoulder which was very inconvenient for them. Later they altered the cloths and sell them in market on suitable price. Hamdam Foundation provided fifty “HAND CARTS” to the people of Gheera Community so that they can work easily and comfortably. Now they are working in society more confidently. Read more |

One Roof Shelter Project
Hamdam foundation under its umbrella organization Mashall Skill Development Center run a project entitled Enhancing Quality and Access to TVET for Employability at Aliabad District Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan in collaboration with Research and Development Foundation (RDF), funded by Oxfam Novib. Marshall Skill development Center has trained 60 right holders at its Aliabad Center. In this center, the rural women and girls got tailoring and machine embroidery training. Enterprises development project
To reduce the poverty and uplifting the standard of people and specially for empowering the women, the microfinance programme was launched in November 2007 in collaboration with Orangi Pilot Project, Karachi (OPP). More than 20 million have been disbursed to 1500 beneficiaries. More than half of them are women in Baban Shah Colony (KachiAbbadi), Bangali Colony, Hussainabad, Hyderabad and Jamshoro. Hamdam Foundation has made strategy to expand this programme to district Matyari in the next two years. Women empowerment was primary concern of the program. Water and sanitation hygiene
Hamdam Foundation provided one hundred hand pumps inJamshorodistrict and 100 hygienesessions were conducted in Tando Hafiz Shah UC of district Thatta through a program called Water andSanitationHygiene. This project resolved the long standing water problem of the people of Jamshoro.The project team started field activities by introductory meeting with local communities, social activists and community representatives of Bhan Saeed Abad, Talti & Bhanbha of Taluka Sehwan.The social mobilization process started in targeted area for project introduction and involving communities and local representative in project process. There are 20 project introductory meetings are conducted during the reporting period. A gender-focused approach has been adopted to ensure maximum participation of women and men at community organization level. |

Women Artisan Expo
Under the title of “Empowered Women, Empowered Pakistan”, Hamdam Foundation organized a three days “Women Artisan Expo” at Sindh Museum Hyderabad with the collaboration of Splendid Fashion in 2018. The key objective of this event was to empower Rural Women Artisans through their skill enhancement, their products market Linkages and Value Addition.
